Blossoming Parents draws on elements of active birth, hypnobirthing, parentcraft and traditional antenatal classes to create one very powerful combination. From birth plans to massage in labour, informed choice to packing hospital bags and feeding your baby to changing their nappy. 

Blossoming Parents Antenatal– Weeks 1, 2 &3

Blossoming Parents Infant Feeding – Week 4

  • Feeding basics

  • Breastfeeding  including positioning and attachment 

  • Challenges and barriers posed by breastfeeding.

  • Hunger cues,

  • Responsive bottle 

  • Paced feeding

  • Expressing milk 

  • Sterilising equipment 

  • The role the birth partner can play.

Blossoming Parents Postnatal and Baby– Weeks 5 & 6

  • The postnatal period known as the fourth trimester

  • Recovery from birth

  • The role of the birth partner 

  • Active bonding

  • Newborn care 

  • Bathing

  • Dressing

  • Changing 

  • Calming and Soothing Techniques

  • Winding

  • Newborn sleep and safe sleeping

Blossoming Parents are for all those who are pregnant along with their co-parent or birthing partner. The workshops are suitable to attend from 30 weeks pregnant right up until baby’s birth, and are adapted to suit all pregnancy related conditions, birth plans and parenting choices with ease. You can however attend earlier if it is more convenient.

Workshops are 15 hours in total and are delivered in a series of 6 x 2.5 hour sessions.
